NGC 7822 and Environment

This image is centered on the large nebula complex NGC 7822/Ced 214, but also covers a lot of the Cepheus/Cassiopeia Border Region, which is part of the northern Milky Way and contains a large number of interesting deep-sky objects, most of them open star clusters and nebulae. Other prominent deep- sky objects in this region are the open cluster M52 and NGC 7635, the Bubble Nebula, which belong to Cassiopeia (towards the upper right), the "Bow-Tie" Planetary Nebula NGC 40 towards the top, and IC 59, a reflection nebula near γ Cassiopeiae.
