Notes: While taking a series of telescope-based astrophotos during a good night at Ebenwaldhöhe, Lower Austria, I found time to observe the beautiful nighttime environment and noticed some nice trees which screen the observation site towards the northwestern edge. They made perfect foreground object for these two startrail photos. I used a zoom lens set to 18mm to take these photos, which ran for 30 and 10 minutes, respectively. The camera was set on a tripod. The photos were taken on August 16, 2010. The Summer Milky Way runs vertically through the upper photo. Slight wind rattled the upper tree branches.
